You guys post about the dangers of meth, and yet continue posting skinny airbrushed 19 year olds in Morning Goods. I'm not saying that Queerty is the cause of meth use, I'm just wondering how this is supposed to help people with their already fucked up body images.

(Disclaimer. I'm not against Morning Goods. Nor do I feel we should suddenly put up nothing but pictures of Michael Moore. However, the modeling industry and the porn industry have set the gay community's standards so unfathomably high that to achieve it, many have to turn to drugs.)

I hate to piss all over you people's P.C. rants about weight (which is a daily bitch-fest on Queerty that I'm getting real sick of) but some of us are naturally skinny. We eats what we wants and don't gain weight. Sorry to break it to ya tubbies but it don't mean we're on meth or crack.

There are probably some good things to say about this guy, but "muscular" is definitely not one of them by anyone's standard.

I can't believe you all are calling this guy "skinny." He looks hot as hell to me. Believe it or not, there are thin people in the world, and there are thin people who have no trouble remaining thin. Where does the talk of meth, Tab, diet Coke, etc. come in? I don't get it.

What I'm asking for is for the gay community to start getting it into it's queer, shallow little mind that you don't have to be 19 and lean to be attractive. Yes, 19 and lean can definately be attractive, but you don't turn 30 and shrivel up. Those people who don't have a 6-pac and can't/don't work out for the hours on end can be attractive. Hell, just simply adding in some other body types (tall, 30 and barrel chested, for example) would be a nice change of pace.

I'm not attacking anyone because they are skinny. What I'm sick of is this underlying idea that there's some ratio where body fat % over 8 and age over 25 makes you increasingly ugly. Just about everyone I've known who's gotten into meth say that once they started using it, they suddenly noticed that they had more time to do things (since they stayed up all night, tweaked out, and suddenly the apartment is clean) and they started loosing weight. Same thing with cocaine. Why do you think smoking pot isn't exactly glamorous?

This isn't the end all be all of the image/drug problem, but I don't think that sitting around and oogling 19 year old "models" is helping anyone's self esteem.

And frankly, I'm sick of a gay community that learned it's body image and how to treat others from porn.

Rowen, as opposed to women who get their body images from runway models? Men who get their body images from pro wrestlers? I don't disagree with your points, but I'm also a little sick of gay men who keep pointing how awful gay men are – when we're just as sick (and no sicker) than the rest of society.

Just because I mentioned the gay community doesn't mean I think that the rest of the world isn't just as idiot when it comes to body image. However, I deal with what I know and with what this website deals with. Besides, me complaining about the gay male body image in no way implies that I think we're more screwed up then straights.

Guys, just lighten up and enjoy the image for goodness sake. The guy looks sweet and cuddly whether you want to do him or not.

The truth about body appearance is that nearly anyone can maintain a fine body appearance by just working out: something fun like running
and not eating like horse. Many guys keep the same proportions all of their lives.

BTW I saw a semetic guy on the bus-persian or arab, I think who had the most incredible features, but moreover thick ,thicK eyebrows and eyelashes to kill for. i suppose that it's racism or just not people in the business but some of the most totally incredibly beautiful boys are Arabs and Kurds. This guy is at least part semetic. Israelies, seem more often to be Eurpoean zionists, not Middle Eastern jews.

I think there's a good mix in Israel: ashkenzim, sepphardim, yemenites, some ethiopians. lots of hot guys to choose from.

You really don't know much about body types, do you? Not everyone can maintain the same body type, nor can everyone maintain the body types that are commonly shown in magazines, porn, and on TV. Furthermore NO human maintains the same proportions. It's just what happens to your body as you age. Now, you can keep yourself healthy, but healthy, and what people strive for, are often not the same thing.

I, for example, can easily put on weight/muscle. Others can't, but have a much easier time burning said weight/muscle. I have a lot more muscle mass and pure strength then many of the guys I work out with, but I don't really care about putting the time and effort into getting and maintaining the six pack that many of the other, smaller, slighter guys at my gym have, who also have a much easier time maintaining.
