Morning Aural: Talib Kweli

It astounds us how few gays listen to Talib Kweli. Of today’s hip hop artists, Kweli’s voice and message definitely stand in the top ranks. Above you’ll see the Kanye West-produced “Get By” from 2002′s Quality. After the jump, you can give a listen to Ear Drum‘s, “Listen!” And we’ve also included “Black Star” with Mos Def.

Talib is one of the best artists around in terms of hip hop, but most people don’t pay attention. His album, Quality is just that, quality material. And the opening track with Dave Chapelle is pretty funny.

I love Mos Def. Thank you for continuing to expose your readers to a diversity of music. We don’t all love showtunes, disco and house.
