@Nathan Wilson: True, because i’ve seen his son out and about on the scene a time or two. He’s kinda cute. I find it funny that we here in Mississippi have our own little version of Dick Cheney.

@ZacharyG: He is good looking. He has been over at a mutual friend’s house a few times. Have not hung out with him much but he is really nice. Phil Bryant should really shut his mouth about gay people if he does not want this to get out.

@Nathan Wilson: Are you suggesting to out his son to exert pressure on the gov? If you just did, that would be a scumbag move of the highest order.

@JohnBong: Nah, dude. Everyone here knows the dude is gay. It’s not like it’s a big secret.

@JohnBong: No, his Son is very active within the Gay community. He is no more secretive about his sexuality than Elton John.

@Nathan you just proposed using an innocent guy as leverage against his politician dad. Wrong, just wrong. I don’t care for Phil, but he is not ashamed of his son and does not treat him with anything but love. They don’t talk about it with the press to respect his son’s privacy.
There is an underground movement in backwards MS to at least get Civil Unions and Patrick might be a big help- so if you could not even suggest that he gets used for extorsion that would be great.

@Mel I did no such thing, I said he was gay which he is. I have seen him at the gay bar and been around him in social settings. I didn’t say throw him under the bus to get gay rights in Mississippi. Not sure where you picked that up from.

I am not a member of the Press was not aware there was some secret oath to protect the privacy of his Son being gay. Sounds like it is more of an effort to protect the privacy of the Governor having a gay son so please do not try to sell some magic beans here. I also am not a member of the press so I do not really care what people know or not. Obviously if the guy was in the closet he wouldn’t be frolicking around the gay community letting everyone know who he is or showing up in the gay bar as others have mentioned in this very thread.

I also find it odd that you know about this “underground movement” of Civil Unions or event suggest there might ever be because I assure that is some crap. The fact that I read back all of my comments (from August? Someone must have been doing some soul searching to reactivate this retired thread.) and never once said that we should use him for leverage is annoying and do not really need your two cents. If he was in the closet he didn’t do a good job of staying in there.
