Musharraf Out!
Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf resigned this morning rather than being impeached for illegally taking power. Said the 65-year old: “This is not time for individual bravado. I lose or win in impeachment proceedings, the Pakistani nation will be the loser. After taking advice from my supporters and friends, I have decided to resign in the best interests of the nation.” [Bloomberg]
So what’s gonna happen now. Will all hell break loose? Or will the country be better off and a better ally? We shall see
