EVERYONE has been harassing people in the McCain rallies because SOME people in the McCain rallies are complete douchebags — especially towards gays and Muslims.
OBVIOUSLY there’s going to be a backlash, but not because Muslims or gays are in any way fundamentally militant. It’s only because they’re getting annoyed and frustrated by all the unnecessary bigotry.
And what’s McCain’s response to ALL that (both the bigotry and the backlash)? Yep, not much — and Palin is certainly doing less than he is. But at least he took the microphone away from the “I don’t trust Obama” lady.

Taking a look a the fairness of our tax code really has nothing to do with our Constitution.
$37 Billion? I’m not sure what you’re talking about there, but I’ll just say that you need to learn a lot more about the allocations of our federal budget. We give very little, as a percentage of the whole, away in foreign aid. All other western democracies give away a larger percentage of their yearly budgets in foreign aid.
All of that has nothing to do with freedom of religion in the US as guaranteed by our Constitution. I know you’re not a big one for religions, me neither, but free is free for everyone.
Finally, I have no Messiah. I hold no religious beliefs.

While I do live in Chicago, it’s a bit cool here today for any extended walking outdoors, thanks. I don’t know how to answer your question. Why do we fund AIDS research when so many are dying of Cancer, why do we send people to space when there are so many without health care, why do we pave the roads when what we obviously need is more food for the starving? Our government has many priorities. I would say that helping out the poor, sick, and hungry are good things whether those people are US citizens or not. This is probably not the best forum for an extended debate on foreign aid, but again, you should learn more about how little we actually spend in this area.
