Nate Berkus Powers Through Life-Or-Death Xmas Decorating Segment While Appendix Is Preparing To Burst

Yesterday morning, when it wasn’t painting Bradley Manning as a victim, NBC’s Today show was holding hostage Nate Berkus, who really needed to get to the hospital because his appendix was about to burst. He finished this segment about decorating for the holidays (put stockings on the backs of chairs to make seating more festive!), then rushed to the hospital for surgery. “He wasn’t feeling well,” says a production company rep for the ratings-challenged Nate Berkus Show. “He powered through and then went straight to the hospital after that and they learned he had appendicitis. … He was in a lot of pain. I don’t think people realized how ill he was.” You’re a champ, Nate! Feel better buddy.
