Nat’l Equality March Attendees Will Get to Wave at Barack Obama’s House

nemroute

The National Equality March is, in fact, happening on Oct. 11. Yes, despite the naysayers! And organizers just secured their march permits and the route they’ll be taking that Sunday. The good news: It goes past the White House, which means marchers will have an opportunity to fling rainbow flags on the lawn (we suggest not doing this, because the Secret Service carry guns). The bad news is the march is only 2.33 miles, which means you’re going to have to hit the treadmill beforehand to squeeze in a workout.

My guess is 10,000 or less. Not the “million” Cleve talked about. Too bad this event wasn’t actually planned. 500,000 is needed to attract any real attention. I’m afraid Press reports will reference the “poor attendance,” without mentioning the “poor planning.” It’s the organizers fault, not the LGBT Community.
