Of course there have to be some people who don’t like DeGeneres, but it sure seems to me like one would have to put a strenuous, ongoing effort to the task. I see her as gay people’s Pearl Bailey, about as warm and disarming an ambassador as we could wish. Success to her always.

Ellen has a head writer for her daytime talk show? Why? All she does is interview people who have movies, tv shows or albums to promote and give away a bunch of stuff to greedy cougars in the audience, what the hell does she need a writer for?

@Spike: Monologues, skits, questions asked to the celebs. What’s going to be said during what segment. Like all talk shows, Ellen writes a lot of what she says but she has writers to help with ideas and to put it all in order.
