@bitches of HK: You can defend the guy all you want, but the fact that I find him pretentious, annoying, full of it and not worthy of editing a magazine is not me being “a bitchy girl.” Its me rejecting his product and persona as a gay consumer. Evidently like a lot of other consumers and advertisers. Its homophobic to respond that rejection with an anti-gay slur, and speaks to just the sort of “I’m better than you because I’m pansexual” bullshit we were turned off by in the 1st place.

Did you notice that he announced it where he vicariously lives his life — on Page Six in the NYPost? I don’t know how he is as an editor. I can’t see any difference from the Ciompi era – or Richard Settles era, for that matter. But he has one great undeniable gift: for self-promotion.

The jealousy factor on this site is so over the top and obvious. I worked with him once, slept with him twice, loved it, and also loved his ideas, and his energy. If you know him, he’s actually very nice, never stops moving and thinking and always has a nice thing or to to say to you. Bi does exist, but not nearly as much as bitchiness on this site. Lighten up girls.

Well one thing is for sure, he knows how to market himself. First the “outing,” which got him a gay magazine. Then the Bi thing, which he turned to launch a bi website with ads and promotions. All of which was a play to sell a book and a show so that he could dodge the bullet of losing a buck like the rest of us in the flat economy.

The magazine didn’t suck, it was far better than it had ever been. But the company never paid anyone. That and Neal Bolton did what he always does and just rolled his big ego’d enterouge in, wrecked havac, then rolled out just in the nick of time.
