Neil Patrick Harris dropped by the Late Show this week to chat with David Letterman about how he’s going to make the gayest show on Earth even gayer. As a new Producer of the 67th annual Tony Awards this Sunday on CBS, Harris says he injected some of his own ideas into the script, because he “hated the idea of showing up and just reading a teleprompter.”
“It’s a nice night not only for the theater community, but also to let the world know that theater is alive and thriving,” Letterman said. Cheers to that!
With a whopping 14 live performances and an even bigger opening number, NPH says this year’s awards show will undoubtedly be the best yet. (Let’s just hope they have a better audio team than in years past…)
