A very reliable little bird tells Queerty that Neil Patrick Harris will be honored as the 2014 Man of the Year at the annual Hasty Pudding Awards on February 7.
The awards ceremony, hosted by Harvard University’s theatrical student society Hasty Pudding Theatricals, is highly regarded by the famous honorees who are traditionally roasted at the ceremony and take place in a subsequent parade through the Boston area. Last week, the troupe announced Helen Mirren as the recipient of its 2014 Woman of the Year award.
Our source tells us that NPH will be in attendance to accept his award this year at a brand new facility, and will also take part in the ceremony—hopefully in a hilarious skit! Last year, actors dressed as NPH “and his unicorn” entertained the crowd while honoree Jason Segel looked on.
With so many riotous Tony Awards performances under his belt, lord only knows what NPH has cooked up for this year’s Hasty Pudding Awards!
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Allow us be the first to congratulate you, Neil!

Good for him.

I just feel that Neil Patrick Harris has exploited the hard work of others but has not reciprocated in a way that matches the efforts of those who paved the way for gay men to be public about their sexuality. Look, I could be completely wrong here but that is the impression I’ve been getting.
