Whether you’re a road warrior or frequent vacationer, at some point you’ve found yourself in some strange new city, staring at your mini-bar and desperate to find out where the local gay action is. You could just call us and we’d tell you where to go, or, if you’re one of the Apple faithful, you can download GayCities, the new iPhone application that directs you to the nearest bar, restaurant or gay hotel. It’s a pretty sweet app, letting you choose what kind of place your looking for, see reviews from other people and giving you directions.
Scott Gatz, the founder of GayCities tells Queerty that with the app there will be “No more dragging around clunky print guides or racing to a hotel room or home to find what often turns out to be an outdated listing”, which sounds great, though we have just one question– ‘Will the application be available for the Android?’ GayCities business partner Chris Bull tells us a version is in the works.
You can get the free GayCities application here.

Confused by this headline. If this app is directing you to “gay areas” and a ghetto, by definition, is a place where one kind of folk are forced to live — isn’t this app pointing you to the the very “ghetto” you want to avoid.
This seems like an intelligent crowd, let’s not use dumb downed headlines.

Maybe you should get lost in the ghetto and just ask someone? Can you imagine it – putting down your iPhone and talking to real people F2F.

The choice of language in this headline is regrettable.
