New Lawsuit: Attacking DOMA Over Immigration Inequality

In what’s billed as the first-ever legal challenge to the Defense Of Marriage Act on the grounds that it illegally prohibits gay Americans from sponsoring foreign nationals for visas, the New York-based Immigration Equality is filing a new suit on the heels of Obama declaring the law’s Section 3 unconstitutional, for DOMA blocks the federal government from recognizing legally married gay couples.
