New York’s State Senators Predictably Avoid Gay Marriage Vote

newyorkstatemap2

Wasn’t New York’s State Senate sooo going to vote on marriage last night? All the blogs said so! Even Sen. Ruben Diaz, the most anti-gay of all Democrats, left the floor to go pray. But, whoops, the senators went home last night voting on you homosexuals. On the plus side, the State Assembly voted for gay marriage. Again. With no debate. Because now it’s so routine, they can vote for marriage rights while walking and chewing gum at the same time.

If you want to see what the Senate is up to today, watch live here.
