Nicollette Sheridan Will Stop Claiming Marc Cherry Bitchslapped Her

Nicollette Sheridan, who’s been absent from the public consciousness so long we almost forgot Vanessa Williams used to be on a different ABC show, is not going to pursue her $20 million claim against gay Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry. Well, at least not the abuse part. In a court filing, the former Edie Britt says she will no longer go after Cherry for inflicting intentional emotional or physical abuse, as she intended in the original April claim. (In return, ABC dropped its requirement that Sheridan submit to a psychological evaluation.) So, what, this is just a wrongful termination suit now? Bo-ring!

It was a bizarre thing that they killed her off when they did. Especially since they kept the boring as watching paint dry Katherine in the main cast. I never understood why Teri Hatcher is considered the star of the show, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman and Nicolette all had far more interesting characters.

Why is this show still on the air?
It has not been interesting since at least Season 2.
