No Charges For Former Mayoral Aide

Anthony W. McCarthy can breathe easy today. Baltimore police will not file charges against the former mayoral aide, who was placed on leave last November following allegations of unspecified “inappropriate conduct”. McCarthy’s bulldog attorney definitely stayed on top of the case: “Baltimore County has declined to prosecute Mr. McCarthy. They did an extensive investigation and whether the witnesses corroborated the evidence, I don’t know.” No word on whether McCarthy will return to work. [Baltimore Sun]
