The quote “Me love you long time” comes from a Vietnamese prostitute in Stanley Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket, but 2 Live Crew made it infamous in the song “Me So Horny.”

Fergie, Nelly Furtado, and Mariah Carey have all used the line or variations of it in their songs, but do they know that it’s considered a racial and sexual slur by many? Probably not.
