Just in case you were wondering, his five-day period to sign (or ignore) the bills passed by both state houses is not yet up. Because of this stuff.
No, NH Gov. John Lynch Did Not OK Same-Sex Marriage By Taking His Time

Don’t leave us in the dark! Has the bill now reached the Governor’s desk? If so, when are the five days up?
timncguy
WTF, after the bill was passed by both houses, did it have to crawl on its own hands and knees with no directions to get to the Governor’s office?
Who decides when, and why the bill goes to the Gov’s desk? And, why would the fart around with it?
Captain Freedom
I am willing to bet a million dollars John Lynch is going to sign that bill, and with a straight face.
Yes I said it. Anyone who thinks a Democratic Governor, one of the most popular in America, with the potential to run for President someday would really veto is a dumbass.
He will sign the bill and New Hampshire will be #6. I bet my hat on it!
daftpunkydavid
are you guys burying your heads in the sand or what???? seriously WTF?!!!
how much money have you donated to NHFTM (New Hampshire Freedom to Marry)? They’re being seriously, and i mean seriously outspent by the fag-haters at NOM.
You guys need to wake the fuck up. Democrat or not, a politician is first that: a politician. Remember Bill Clinton and DOMA? Do you know who Ruben Diaz, Sr is ?? Do you know who Marion “bitch set me up” Barry is?? Do you know who Barack Obama is???? Democrat?! Bitch please. Politician. Now, i will concede our chances our not as bad as with a fundie. BUT you have got to take action.
When did you call the office of the governor? DI you e-mail? Did you write a letter? So don’t fuckin complain guys seriously.
I partly blame queerty because they have such a platform, and not that everyone needs to be an activist all the time, but this is the kind of passivity that allowed prop8 to pass. Fight people. Fight hard. fight the fuck back! I urge you all to visit thisfreaking site nhftm.org because they need money.
as for the answer to the question that was asked before, a number of signatures need to be gathered before sending the bill to the governor. Which means that many people can delay the arrival at the governor’s desk for various reasons.
I’m reading a bunch of nh blogs. it’s not looking good because our side has not been as vocal as the other side. people, we need to fight! where the fuck is my harvey milk??!!!

@daftpunkydavid:
I agree, Democrats have been assholes lately. Barack Obama has been a colossal failure. Don Ruben– I mean Sen. Diaz is another shill for the big unions and the mobsters in Bronx who support extreme big government and Tony Soprano style Democracy. And even that is unfair to Tony Soprano.
However, I have followed Lynch very carefully since he was elected Governor. He has a tendency to “play it safe” on social issues but in the end he always comes out on the side of good. He is in a very unfortunate position of being the Governor of the most conservative state to pass a marriage bill. No matter what he does he will get flack.
He will sign this bill. John Lynch is not an idiot. He knows that history is on his side here if he signs it.
By the way, I share your extreme anger and frustration with the Democrats (hence why I’m a libertarian). I believe this fight needs to be fought in as many legislatures as possible. After we overturn Prop 8 in CA, Obama will no longer have an excuse. We will win this war! We will fight nonstop and someday in the not-too-distant future we will have national equality.

@daftpunkydavid: Signatures needed? What kind of signatures? You mean from politicians or government officials? Or do you mean a petition from citizens?
What kind of whacky process is this where legislators odo their job by passing legislation, and then “additional” signatures are needed? It sounds crazy.
