As his marriage to Star Jones heads for divorce court, Al Reynolds wants to know the world he married the formerly massive lawyer for love. “I know in my heart that I entered my marriage with love and the best of intentions and leave it with great sadness that it didn’t work… [People] have spoken disparagingly of my life, my sexuality, my career and my integrity. What the world doesn’t know about me would fill a book…” We have no doubt. And, also, we’d never read it. [NYDN]

Time to leave the guy alone Mr. Editor. Enough hate around as it is.

I really can’t understand why you would post a story about him as if there is some interest in his life and then end the story by stating if he wrote a book you wouldn’t read it. I think Mauricio has a point. If your only pupose in posting is to disparage the guy, please just leave him alone and post something newsworthy, or at least interesting.

Its amazing to me that folks still expect Queerty to have anything relevant to say, let alone something objective.

It’s amazing to me that people still come to Queerty, and post comments, when they obviously don’t like the website.

Queerty’s a cool site. However, I never understood the hatred directed toward Al Reynolds. What exactly did the man do that was so horrible to the gay community? Did the man demand homophobic legislation? No. Did he approve anti-gay violence? No.
He’s just some guy who was labeled a closet case; married a formerly overweight media celebrity; and found his life under attack.
What damage has been done to the man’s career because of false claims and personal attacks?
People talk about how sleazy Perez Hilton is, but aren’t all the gay blogs who took delight in going after Al Reynolds just as bad if not worse? Hilton is a sociopath. What’s every one else’s excuse?

I think people are particularly irked by these two because star repeatedly said that she was against gay marriage and then it appeared that maybe, just maybe she married a closeted gay man.
You have to admit that if that’s the case, they have it coming. If that’s not the case, they’re both annoying as hell and they have it coming anyway.
