I do get what she is saying. My husband is in the wedding biz and people regularly spend hundreds of thousands for the big day. What is funny/revolting are the million dollar projects that take a year to plan and execute, then you hear about the couple splitting-up a few months after the honeymoon…..Priceless.

Her point- which some of you don’t get- is to not pay 50k in a wedding or more. Yes, Gertrude, people are paying that and more on weddings now. Why do you crazy bitches think businesses are so happy about gay marriage in California? It certainly ain’t because they all support gay marriage. It’s going to be a money making bonazana. If you got the money, spend it, but if you don’t, save it to buy a house. You can do what you want, but ignoring good advice is kind of retarded.

Here’s my advice to those about to buy a fabulous apartment: don’t. Take the money, talk about the future with the one you love, and commit in a marriage ceremony. A materialistic apartment is the biggest throwaway and means nothing later.
