Why are American organisations trying to interfere with domestic policies in Europe, this is illegal and exactly the kind of imperialism that makes America the most disliked nation on the planet.

The government should step in and put a stop to these violent, hateful domestic terrorists from entering Europe under any circumstances. It’s a shame they’re not brown and muslim then we’d have support for it, sadly.

Looks like it will have yet another battle on its hands. Across the channel from France, the UK gets to vote for equal marriage before February 14 and there’s NOTHING NOM will be able to do about that either.

They vote for it on February 14th? That is definitely a very fitting date if it passes in the UK.

Doesn’t “NOM” mean “Ass” in French. NOM holes.

@1EqualityUSA: The french word for ass is “cul”. Asshole is “con”. Non means “name” in French. It’s unfortunate they changed their name, I was hoping for some “Who’s on first?”-esque jokes.

I was just making this up, Gatsby2011, but my one-lunged French teacher from high school would be so proud of you, her cheeks would puff out. Thanks for the lesson.

I thought they were called the NATIONAL Organization For Marriage. Why then are they concerned with France? My guess is because they’re losing here in the US where more and more people are realizing that everyone deserves the freedom to marry who they love.

Just like NOM chose the easiest states to push their bigotry onto the books, now they’re choosing the easiest Countries to rack up another “winning streak” to point fingers to and say, “See, we are not alone…these creeps believe what we have to say too.”

@2eo: The RCC interferes in the domestic policies of every country in which it is allowed to operate.

By injecting themselves into France, NOM expands its donor base beyond the U.S.

@vklortho: No, apparently before February 14, fitting either way and a lovely Valentine’s day to celebrate.

NOM is losing big time in it’s anti-gay agenda in the U.S., so it’s broadening its donor base to continue operation. They’re just a business and their product is hate, unfortunately for them and fortunate for us, nobody is really buying their product here any more.
