NOM Raises Pathetic Fraction Of $100K Fundraising Goal

Last time we checked, the National Organization for Marriage’s campaign to raise $100,000 by getting $1 for every new Facebook “like” and Twitter follower had only raised $598. The campaign ends today. So how did they do?

Ha ha. Horribly.

According to Jeremy Hooper at Good As You, NOM raised a whopping $1,229. That’s right, they could only find 1,229 people to like or follow their anti-gay status updates—a handful of those had to be friends that Maggie Gal and Busta’ Brown guilt-tripped into doing it. Someone might wanna tell NOM that Americans from almost every religious denomination support gay rights more than they do.

So continues the dinosaur’s slow march to the boneyard.
