Republican or Democrat, everyone can agree on one thing: the Obamas totally got it on last night. And so did a lot of other people. Obstetricians, July 2009’s gonna be busy. [Kottke]

I was thinking the same thing about the Obama’s in the midst of my euphoria over Barack’s win, I’m ashamed to say.

I waited till this morning. I don’t think the obstetrician need worry, though.

One of the many things I like about Obama is the occasional “moment” between him and Michelle that we get to glimpse. They so obviously respect, trust and enjoy each other completely and naturally, their joy in each other is obvious–something we ain’t seen in a president and his spouse in quite a long while. The smile and chuckle between them, caught by the cameras as they walked off the stage last night, was a nice ending to a nerve-wracking day.
