Take away their tax exempt status. They are employees of the church, using their positions in the church to push a particular political agenda.

This is money that could have been given to the victims of abuse by priests.

and the Knights of Columbus, another catholic group, gave $1.4 million dollars. The reason church’s have tax exempt status is so that they can do good charitable things with the money they receive and they also promised to stay out of government and politics. In this instance, the Catholic church, the Mormon church (who has given over $8 million) and the evangelical mega-churchs of Orange County have all given money to support changeing the constitution of California in order to discriminate against a certain minority group. They have crossed the line and MUST pay taxes now, it’s simple, they are now changeing the constitution that belongs to THE PEOPLE and changeing it because of their ideology. WE NEED TO push this if PROP 8 is passed and we lose the right to marry. I WANT THOSE ASSHOLES TO PAY TAXES if they are going to force me to live by their bullshit rules.
