Nothing Kills Gay Pride Like People Running Around With Guns

Sunday's Black Gay Pride festival was overrun by a group of people wielding guns, leading crowds to "stampede" as they tried to escape. No gun fire, however, and police arrived on the scene to arrest and mace a few folks.

meh, the Pink Pistols have marched peacefully in many Pride marches around the country for years, without incident. These folks fighting probably had little training, either in the use of their weapons or in the practice of conflict de-escalation…and they may have possessed the guns illegally, making them far less likely to get trained in their use. Adults should not be involved in fisticuffs if they can at all help it…especially not if they're armed.

In case you were wondering, this happened in Atlanta. Not that you'd know from the post.

Everyone knows the park is dangerous after dark. I mean come on there have been several stabbings of gay men who were cruising here late at night so guns are no surprise here.

@Brian: Thanks for the clarification. This is the second time today I had to dig around to find out where the story was. There are still editors here, right?
