NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo Reminds Republican-Controlled Legislature He Promised The Gays Something Important

Speaking to reporters at Hofstra University to go over his state budget, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo renewed his campaign pledge to pass a gay marriage law, which I guess is news? Also news, maybe, is that the State Senate’s Majority Leader Dean Skelos, a Republican who voted against the bill last session, said yesterday he is going to let gay Democratic Sen. Thomas Duane carry a same-sex marriage bill through the chamber. BUT NOT UNTIL JUNE, when the legislative session ends, and oopsies, maybe the Republicans in charge will just run out the clock instead. Because that would be news.

Maybe Lady Gaga can do something to get this passed, since she lives in NY and is pro-gay.

So not holding my breath for any of this to happen.
