An openly gay man has been nominated as the next Under Secretary of the Air Force.
Eric Fanning, currently Deputy Under Secretary for the Department of the Navy, has had a long and illustrious career in public serviceâincluding time at the House Armed Services Committee, the White House and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
As Under Secretary for the Air Force, Fanning is responsible for âorganizing, training, equipping and providing for the welfare ofâŚmore than 333,000 active duty men and women, 178,000 Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve members, 182,000 civilians, and their families,â according to the Victory Fund.
âI am honored by the Presidentâs announcement,â Fanning said, âand look forward to working with the Congress and continuing to serve the Department of Defense during the confirmation process.â
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Below is a video âthanksâ Fanning recorded after the repeal of Donât Ask Donât Tell.

Great. Another gay on board for Obama’s continuation and expansion of needless wars.
Fuck Obama, Romney & The 2party system of war, poverty & erosion of civil liberties.
Ryan
@ andrew… no he isn’t.
Darren
yeah he is Ryan he’s a queen and he screams nellie bottom. đ
I agree with Jeff, supporting Obama and Romney means that you support war. Obama got us into two illegal wars or “confrontations” one with Libya and the other with Yemen.
Even people heavily involved with the Occupy movement are fed up with Barry: http://www.sacbee.com/2012/08/03/4691854/protesters-smash-window-at-obamas.html

@Darren: I hope so. Even Bill Marher (a 2party system apologist) called for Occupy to start organizing Tea Party style.

Jeff, Darren… I’m a Vietnam era veteran and Libertarian. Yea we are all sick of war, and sick of hearing BS excuses as to why too many Americans think we go to war. The fact is you need to make the other dumb son of a bitches sick of war, and until that happens I’m not going to curl up in a ball and NOT vote. I have no agenda except preserving this Union. I would rather vote for Mintney Mouse than Barrack Hussein Obama, and possibly bring the war home.

@<Deal with it Jeff, You have have three choices in november: Obama, Romney or throw away your vote, Thats life.
