Obama Releases First National Ad

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama released his first national campaign commercial today. Hoping to reintroduce himself to potentially wary - and weary - voters, Obama retells his biographical tale, focusing on how his love for America led him down this presidential path, hence the commercial's title, "Country I Love."

"Why, who is this Obama fellow?" said the man who lives under a rock.

Finally, a man running for prez who has the life experiences of being a minority and paying off student loans. Maybe Michelle can't say it but I will. For the first time in my adult life I am really proud of my country.

Im surprised he never used his half breed status before, looks like he was saving it for the big election. He's not getting my vote. Hillary was robbed. McCain is getting my vote this year. Obama is as much a typical politician as everyone else in that realm.

Where's his flag pin? I think he should just drape himself in a cape with stars and stripes with a big red, white and blue tophat. This ad is so pandering, but hey, whatever it takes to keep John McCain out of the whitehouse.

I think he will be a wonderful president and Michelle will be a great first lady.
And if you haters out there would just give him a chance, I think you would be pleasently suprised what he can and will do for this country and the world in general.
No matter how shrill your comments are about Obama, I can't imagine what your reasoning is to think that McCain would be better for this country and our community.

We should all know by now that Obama, who reprimanded a group of African American's who booed his pro gay stance, is way more on our side than McCain. So - maybe he's for Civil Unions rather than Marriage, or maybe he's just saying that because it's political suicide to suggest otherwise for a Democat, either way - he's the first man running for president that has any clue what it's like to be a minority.

"Half breed" is a disgusting and racist comment.

However, that ad is so sugar sweet I think I threw up a little.

Also, if you're really that unsure - just think about the Supreme Court. Who would you rather appoint the next few justices - justices who will most likely hear the gay marriages cases that will be born out of the California marriage decision.

I doubt that he loves his country. I KNOW that Michelle O. hates America since she said herself that she had never been proud of America. The only reason Hussein won is that the competition was so full of flaws he lucked out with his cult of supporters who propelled him to victory. But his victory will be short lived. BTW, what do you all think Hillary is plotting to do next now that she's on a month long vacation??? Scheming to have someone invoke the Bobby Kennedy Syndrome??

If you believe that ad, he's a great actor and we're all fools. He uses the right code words: family, country, Kansas (has he been there?), but none of it represents who he really is.

I think it was very effective, especially how it goes against all the baseless rumors without addressing them.

anytime family and values in mentioned in the same sentence it is code for "I hate gay people."

Has any one also noticed that he is using the Mike Huckabee white cross technique in the background.

The ad sounds like a Republican running for office.
