The president won’t be at the bi-annual Presidents Cup Golf tournament in San Francisco, according to this report. Does that mean he’s staying in D.C.? Is he hanging out after addressing HRC on Saturday night to make an appearance at the National Equality March? The White House isn’t commenting, but if Obama does plan to involve himself in NEM, you can expect an entirely different event on Sunday: Security will be tight, barriers will be in place, and you’ll be advised to tone down the anti-Obama rhetoric. But it will also make Cleve Jones’ dreams come true.

I think he’ll be there along with 500,000 Marchers. This is a historic event. Despite the complains of many, our Community has come together and we will see the positive results of demanding our rights.
We should all be thanking Cleve Jones for seeing the value of a large public demonstration. Bring on our equal rights.

Who knows… but if I were Obama I would not play golf in a founding center of gay rights during a gay rights march in DC. I doubt he will show at the march, but at least he might end up not rubbing it in our faces.
