Obama’s 2nd Gay Appointee He’s Installing Himself

Senate Republicans continued to stall a vote on confirming Richard Sorian, the gay media relations guy at the National Committee for Quality Assurance, to become assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services — a position Obama nominated him for back in October 2009. So Sorian will get the job, via recess appointment, the second time he’s done so to put a gay in a post. (See: Chai Feldblum)
