Funny, I saw an MSNBC newscast which stated Phelps won this swim meet and broke a meet record. Perhaps the report was regarding another first swim return in North Carolina, or perhaps another event? Maybe it's just a loss for him in this swimming event and her perhaps won another event not shown here, but reported on MSNBC?
Would someone please clarify?

I used to think Michael Phelps was hot. Then I heard he was dating Carrie Prejean and, all of a sudden, I noticed his face. Suddenly, he's not so hot anymore. And he lost a race. Maybe Li'l Miss Cunt-ifornia and all her bad jujo is stealing Michael Phelps's mojo.
This is stupid. He's not going to, nor did he before, win every race he swims in. This kind of negative publicity just because he's human and maybe, decided he didn't want to train himself to death, is what is likely putting him off to competing in another olympics. You nay-sayers should be ashamed of yourselves.
Also, lets not assume he shares Prejean's ideals just because he hooked up with the loser. Even he's smart enough to deny any association with her.
@DLPCA: It appears this is a medal ceremony only for the 100 backstroke event (which he lost because his backstroke is not up to par with his other strokes and Aaron Piersol has been the best in the world at this backstroke distance for years), not for the overall meet standings. He most likely won every other event he swam (and that was likely a lot) and accumulated enough points to be the overall meet winner and set whatever new record he set. I'm glad he lost to Piersol, though, who frankly is way cuter.
