HBO may have Hung, but the show we’re actually excited about is Rex, a faux-reality show based on Simon Rex, the former MTV VJ whose real claim to fame is his starring turn in Young, Hard & Solo. The plotlines are fictitious, but the premise isn’t: A C-list porn actor needs to restart his career, so he starts hanging around with famous people. Just like the real Simon Rex! (Extra gay factor: Rex goes on a man-date with Lance Bass.)

I watched the pilot episode on Vimeo. There were some somewhat funny parts, but we’ve seen it before (looks very much like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Fat Actress). Overall, it’s very predictable. You’re excited about this show?

What network is this going to end up on? I can’t see it making it unless its on Showtime or FX. Rex is extremely fucking gorgeous; however, no dude has ever been hired and fired from so many acting positions. I hope this isn’t just another fly by that only lasts one season.
My god that reminded me why I hate Paris Hilton so much. Other than her “beauty” (personally I think the bitch is just about hideous) and her name she is a brain dead hack. Its kind of funny because Simon Rex is about the same way. He is cute, but the problem with him is he has ZERO charisma. He should have stuck to jacking off because no one really wants to hear him talk.
