Scissor Sisters, “Only the Horses”

The Scissor Sisters new album, Magic Hour, doesn’t drop until May 28, but the video for the new single, “Only the Horses”—well, the lyric video, anyway—has already trotted onto the Internet. (It follows “Shady Love,” which leaked back in January with Azealia Banks doing guest vocals.) “Horses” sees SS front man Jake Shears teaming up on production duties with Calvin Harris, best known as the mastermind behind Rihanna’s “We Found Love.” I’ve known Calvin for quite a while—we met originally making some music with Kylie for the Aphrodite,” Shears said on BBC Radio 1. With its synth-pop hooks and broad, almost vague lyrics, we can see the connection to both Kylie and RiRi.

Bonnie Raitt, “Right Down the Line”

Out director Steve “Flip” Lippman helmed the video for Bonnie Raitt’s new reggae-infused cover of  “Right Down the Line,” so it’s none too surprising the clip features both gay and straight couples at San Francisco’s now-defunct New Mission Theater. Written by the late Gerry Rafferty, “Line” is a song about long-term love and devotion and is as timeless and soulful as Raitt herself. If you like it, Raitt’s new album, Slipstream, is out now.

The Gossip, “Perfect World”

Beth Ditto looks downright ethereal in the video for “Perfect World,” the band’s first single off the appropriately religious sounding A Joyful Noise. We already worshipped Beth and her boys, so you know we’re prostrating ourselves before this 80s-era power ballad. Hallelujah!

Lune, “Let Go (Neon Revamp)”

Sometimes it’s worth not fast-forwarding through the commercials: This ad for the Swedish jeans company Only incorporates a remix of the hit track “Let Go” from Swedish House Mafia discovery Lune, a.k.a Linnéa Martinsson. Scandi wunderkinds Adrian Lux and Carl-Michael Herlöfsson produced the original version.
