Online Buddies, the parent company of the venerable gay hook up dating site Manhunt, announced today that is has acquired Jack’d, one of the top location-based gay dating apps in the world.
“We are pleased to announce the addition of Jack’d to our portfolio of social networking products,” Online Buddies co-founder Jonathan Crutchley said in a press release, “and we’re grateful to Yosuke for joining us to help expand and improve Jack’d service.”
Online Buddies CEO Adam Segel added: “Our goal is to have the broadest and best portfolio of mobile and desktop products to connect gay men everywhere, and this acquisition is an ideal fit with that strategy. I believe Jack’d is positioned to become the number one gay dating app in the world.”
