Pat Robertson Should Never, Ever, In Any Universe Give Parenting Advice

Pat Robertson should be the last person giving advice on parenting. The man preaches hate; that’s not healthy for families, nor in line with real family values. But still, Christian parents turn to this man to tell them how to interact with their kids, as they did on yesterday’s The 700 Club. On his tip sheet for parents dealing with a gay son? Tell the boy the Bible says he’s an abomination, but you’ll love him any way.

Evil fucker. Dig a little on this guy and learn about his diamond-mining in Zaire, close ties with Zaire’s then-dictator Seko, Katrina funds abuse, etc. etc. etc. One example is below. He’s an evil fucker. Evil fucker. Evil fucker. (and he likes to beat children)

From an expose in The Nation: In 1994 he made an emotional plea on The 700 Club for cash donations to Operation Blessing to support airlifts of refugees from the Rwandan civil war to Zaire (now Congo). Reporter Bill Sizemore of The Virginian Pilot later discovered that Operation Blessing’s planes were transporting diamond-mining equipment for the African Development Corporation, a Robertson-owned venture initiated with the cooperation of Zaire’s then-dictator Mobutu Sese Seko.

After a lengthy investigation, Virginia’s Office of Consumer Affairs determined that Robertson “willfully induced contributions from the public through the use of misleading statements and other implications.” Yet when the office called for legal action against Robertson in 1999, Virginia Attorney General Mark Earley, a Republican, intervened with his own report, agreeing that Robertson had made deceptive appeals but overruling the recommendation for his prosecution. Two years earlier, while Virginia’s investigation was gathering steam, Robertson donated $35,000 to Earley’s campaign–Earley’s largest contribution. With Earley’s report came a sense of vindication. “From the very beginning,” Robertson claimed, “we were trying to provide help and assistance to those who were facing disease and death in the war-torn, chaotic nation of Zaire.”

So let me get this “straight.” If I was abused by a female teacher when I was a child, I could have been turned hetero. And then I could be just like Pat! Yay!

Ah Pat Robertson. And here I thought he was so 80’s, but I see he’s been keeping his homophobia, close-mindedness, and overall hypocrisy current.

Guys like this get my ire up big time.

I grew up in a family deeply entrenched in the evangelical church; they hung on every word of TV-preacher douchebags like Robertson. If there really is a god, and there really is a judgment day…I hope I get to be present when Robertson is formally condemned for the pain he caused in the lives of his followers’ gay children. For the families he helped divide and fracture, and the deaths he caused for those gay kids who just couldn’t take it anymore.

Seriously…I want to see the look on his face when he isn’t congratulated, and then sent down to see the god he’s really been working for his whole life.

      /end rant

Pat Robertson is a hateful dirty bastard. Yesterday I had a weird Pat moment-I was trying to watch “Liza With A Z” on our Comcast ch. 170 and my cable box kept jumping to ch. 17, carrying what else-Pat and the “700 Club”. I’d turn back to Liza and the damn thing would jump back to Pat. It did this 6 or so times-then time 7 a tornado warning came on. Now-not only does that creep ruin gay people’s lives-but also an airing of Liza! After the tornado warning all the channel changing stopped. Now just if a tornado would stop Pat!

Pat Robertson is an abomination. Jesus taught people to love one another, so that makes Pat a demon of Satan. Have at it religios nuts.

It’s perfectly clear that he’s been sinking into dementia for awhile. If it could be medically confirmed it should be enough to discredit him to his followers for the past several to 10 years.

I should be used to this crap by now, but the fucker really gets my blood up. This idea of loving while hating and accepting while shunning just makes me want to rip his cold little black heart out.

To have this bastard looking at confused and hurting parents and tell them that they have to change their son is criminal. Their son will never change… they will live a life of disappointment and shame because they believe God wants them to do a task which is impossible. But does Poppa Pat care? Hell no. Does he give a damn about the son? Hell no. He cares about making his point for which he has become very wealthy and famous. Fucker.

      Wow…”biological problems?”
      “Abomination?”

This guy is getting more senile near the end of his life. I sure appreciate someone who decides he can give advise and just make the situation worse. Would you rather have a son you love and protect him from the regular bad choices of dropping out, becoming drug addicted, having unprotected sex…or would you rather try to fix him and then get frustrated and end up with a run away or a suicide?
