Paul Mooney Keeps It Real
It's Okay To Laugh...

Many of you may think we lead exceedingly glamorous lives and party hop all night long. We don't.

For example, rather than going out on the town last night, we stayed in and relived the magic of Paul Mooney's 2006 show, Jesus Is Black. Mooney, of course, made his name as Richard Pryor's side kick back in the day.

Pryor may be gone, but Mooney's carrying the comedic torch.

Since it's Friday and everyone needs a laugh in the morning hours, here are two clips from Mooney's show. The language ain't safe for work. Also, if you're offended by race talk, you may want to just look away.

Should my best friend, who is straight, be allowed to talk about fags? Or should the word just die?

^^Linguistic prohibition of any sort is stupid. PC thuggism needs a swift, surgical death.

and yet Michael Richards got in trouble? and the comics from the Comedy Store all had to get together to "stop the use of the N word in comedy"…did this guy get the memo?
I'm not sure I'd like to be called a n**ger if I were a proud black man or woman. I know I don't appreciate being called a Fag as a gay man.
I guess thats just me, and GOODBUDDY, your comment makes no sense, of course your friend can talk about gay people, but WHY does he NEED to call us Fags? can't he just say someone is gay? and WHY does he need to make this distinction in the first place? do all of his conversations about gay people revolve around men sucking eachother off? Can't a guy just be a guy? does he have to a fag too? When I talk about my straight friends I don't preface it by saying "some straight motherfucker walks into a bar"…this applies to people of other colors too, can't Tony just be Tony? does he have to be black or asian? "hey my white friend Tony…." no one gives a shit if they are white, why make the seperation if they aren't? People should be known for who they are, not WHAT they look like,etc.. poeple that need to make the distinction have bigotry issues to deal with.

Um, that's painfully unfunny. Race jokes aren't offensive to me, but they are mind numbingly boring and certainly don't even approximate funny.
