"Transgenders"? Transgender is an adjective not a noun. Goodwill to All would have been more apt.

@GirlsAloud: Someone yelled at me for using it as an adjective last week. Suffice it to say, I didn't mean any offense and I'll try to figure out which is right.

You can be transgender and a woman.

The correct terminology for trans . . . really is very confusing. I would appreciate a full, correct explication. A male-to-female acquaintance told me years ago the correct adjective and noun is "transgendered." But what about elsewhere in the process. And could one possibly say "I am transgendered" in the same way I say "I am gay"?

Japhy, happy day-after-Christmas. I hope you are holding up alright and managing to have some fun, too. Best wishes to you and to all of us who work at and use and love Queerty.

And while people are explaining things to me, how does one pronounce "Queerty"? I say KWEER-tie. Is that right?

Merry Christmas to all Gays and Men! And to Women and Lesbians too! Oh, and to Bisexuals as well!

Er… perhaps you can see the problem with the phraseology now. No matter, the thought was kind, even if the wording imperfect.
