Queerty is better as a member
Believe me, as a retired ordained Baptist minister (no longer Baptist, thank God), that minister is far better off without being a Pastor in such a unchristian church. He has been given an open window to join a new Christian denomination and thrive in God’s love! AND be able to live out his ministry in the name of love for all parishioners he may encounter. Pastor Smeltzer has been twice blessed in this episode: 1) He is no longer beholden to this freakish denomination; 2) He is now free to practice Christian love and support to ALL of God’s children!
Pastor/Chaplain Dak, M.Div.
Sir, there are almost always MCC congregations that would be happy to invite you to their pulpits, so I encourage you to look into the possibility.
Don’t you love Christians? Feel the love. Sigh.
@LubbockGayMale: I’ll second that, LGM! I attended an MCC in Omaha and KSMO. They may be a wee bit cliquish but they are very, very supportive. Get to know them first. you’re bound to find people you like there!
@Dakotahgeo: Grrrr… KCMO!! Kansas City, MO!
@Polaro: Polaro, those christians who “think” they’re Christians aren’t Christian by any stretch of the imagination! Don’t classify us all as christian idiots just because of the American christian Taliban folks! They’re dying off as we speak… maybe not as FAST as we’d prefer, but they’re leaving in due time. Kudos!
