Pennsylvania State Senators Today Voting On Whether to Be Marriage Assholes

The Pennsylvania State Senate Judiciary Committee will today vote on adding a same-sex marriage ban to the state constitution. Ah, so that’s why Twitter was exploding with “call your local senator” tweets all weekend. [Penn Live]

Bill was tabled, 8-6. No amendment coming. Too bad we still have our own version of DOMA.

As someone living in PA, I”m shocked!!! I was expecting this to be a slam dunk against us. Damn, I swear we’ll drag PA out of the dark ages even if it kills us!
