Homophobe General To Be Replaced
It's a banner day for the gays. First Isaiah Washington got booted from Grey's Anatomy. Now, Joint Chiefs Chief General Peter Pace - who infamously referred to gays as immoral - has been replaced in the Pentagon. From Think Progress:
Ha-ha, that's what you get for saying:
As an individual, I would not want [acceptance of gay behavior] to be our policy, just like I would not want it to be our policy that if we were to find out that so-and-so was sleeping with somebody else's wife, that we would just look the other way, which we do not. We prosecute that kind of immoral behavior.

Wasn't Gen. Pace simply reiterating the government's unofficial stance on homosexuals?
Don't get me wrong. The guy is a douche. But, the problem lies a lot further than Pace.
Not really. Restating the military's policy is what he *should* have done, instead he went on his own personal religious tangent about the immorality of gays. And he got into mighty hot water for it and had to backtrack, saying "I should've just stuck with policy."
Peter Pace is the Paris Hilton of the Iraq war.

Peter Pace…could that sound any more like a gay porn star?
Before we all start throwing a parade over his removal, everyone needs to be aware that the reason they got rid of him was so he wouldn't have to be asked questions about his actions (war and gay) when it came time for him to go in front of the committee for re-election. I'm sure they've found a place where he can continue to spew his hate somewhere equally as important, just less high profile.
