Phelps and his brood of hate-mongering Baptists will be taking a trip to Minnesota to highlight how America’s sins allegedly brought down the 35W bridge.
The Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kan., plans to stage protests at funerals of victims of the 35W bridge collapse to state that God made the bridge fall because he hates America, and especially Minnesota, because of its tolerance of homosexuality.

In a press release issued the day after the bridge collapse, the church called for protests at the funerals and outlined its feelings about the relationship between God’s plan and the sins of Minneapolis and Minnesota, which it calls the “land of the Sodomite damned.”
Shouldn’t that be “damned Sodomite”? God may hate fags, but he loves dyslexia!

Queerty editors, Billiexx, other defenders of Islam, now is your chance to prove your even handness by defending Christianity. You can say something like “not all Christians are like Phelps…you’re a bigot James!” I mean if Phelps was a Muslim that’s exactly what you’d be doing…I humbly await the word from the great and fair editors, Billie and others who love the Islamists to also defend the Christians when the poor dears need it, as they do now. Come on boys…speak up. After all, unlike Sharia law, Phelps hasn’t killed anybody. Or does he have to before you also defend Christians.

Can you believe this idiot came “back home” to Mississippi 2 years ago to protest uber-antigay Trent Lott saying Lott wasn’t antigay enough?? Yes, went and protested not only at Lott’s home in Pascagoula, Mississippi but also went to Lott’s church and protested. Then said after Hurricane Katrina that god washed Lott’s house away because he wasn’t antigay enough.

It’s just interesting to me how the Christian extremists (who again don’t go around killing people…they just use hurtful words) are bashed regularly without any of the editors or commentators defending the Christian religion and pointing out how all Christians aren’t like a Fred Phelps. But all this news Queerty reports on the Muslim extremists who actually arrest, stone and kill people, that always entails a coda about how Islam is a religion of peace (even though all Muslims silently participate in their religion’s hijacking). Hypocrites and cowards is what the editors are. But otherwise they seem like lovely people.

We don’t have to point out how all Christians aren’t like Fred Phelps and how Fred Phelps is not like all Christians because it’s a concept YOU (as everyone) can understand. What it seems you can’t get through your skull is the fact that there are Muslims who are as extreme – if not MORE extreme – than Mr. Phelps, while SIMULTANEOUSLY accepting that there are other Muslims who are the extreme opposite: civil and entirely peaceful beings. Not all of them are, as you mention, silently participating in their religion’s hijacking. And this is precisely the biggoted shit people are calling you on. They are NOT, in any way, defending terrorist extremists. Rather, they are expanding – and hence, rightfully humanizing – the complexities and definitions of the Islamic faith YOU so vehemently believe in.

The more I think about this the more it irritates me that absolutely no political figure that is in a seat of genuine authority has raised one finger to invoke the Patriot Act against these fanatics and charged them with TERRORISM… that is exactly what it is they are practicing!
