PHOTO: Looks like somebody stole Sharon Needles’ contact lenses: Now that filming has begun in England, Disney has released the first image of Angelina Jolie as Sleeping Beauty’s evil but gorgeous nemesis.

Written by Beauty and the Beast‘s Linda Woolverton and directed by Avatar production designer Robert Stromberg, Maleficent recounts the events that “hardened her heart and drove her to curse the baby Aurora,” played by Elle Fanning. Can somebody please get Kristen Chenowith in here so we can make this a proper Wicked movie?
