PHOTO: Ruth Bader Ginsburg Becomes First Supreme Court Justice To Officiate Same-Sex Marriage

ruthbaderginsburgRuth Bader Ginsburg made history on Saturday when she became the first Supreme Court Justice to officiate a same-sex wedding

Ginsburg officiated at the marriage of her friend, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts President Michael M. Kaiser, to economist John Roberts in the atrium of the center in Washington, reports NBC.

Last month, Ginsburg gave a rare interview in which she said the Court got it right by taking an incremental approach to marriage equality in its June decisions. Now she’s taken that stance one step further and made history herself.
