PHOTO: Knights Out, West Point’s LGBT alumni association, posted this photo montage on Facebook of a member of the academy’s LGBT Spectrum group and his boyfriend , taken at the Yearling Winter Weekend dance last weekend. (“Yearlings” are sophomores at the legendary military academy.)
We’re heartened that this young man doesn’t have to face “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”—he’ll never have to invent a girlfriend, change pronouns or hide who he is to his fellow cadets.
As the Facebook poster wrote above the photos, “this is progress… in which we can be proud.”
Great looking couple. Much happiness to them.

Good Luck to you guys, wish things had been that way when I was that young, :-)

Nice. Change happens slowly most of the time. Old ideas and attitudes die with their creators and the new becomes the norm. I am just happen that I was able to see the change happening in my lifetime. Good luck to these two.
·
Just the sweetest thing. I wish this handsome couple a long, happy life together. I am so glad I’ve been able to see these things come about. Even ten years ago, I could not have imagined it. It’s wonderful.
·
They look like such a beautiful couple.
Best of luck to them both x
·
I think it is great that they can do this. A very handsome couple and the best to them
·
Awwww…these two babes make an uber-adorable, yummie sandwich!
·
OMG they are too adorable!
Best of luck to the gents )

I never thought I would live to see this happening. I am so thrilled. And I am doubly thrilled for them. Be happy, guys.
·
I can’t decide what’s lovelier, the arm-in-arm coming toward us or the hand-in-hand stroll away in the snow.
·
Heartened is the perfect word queery :-)
This is very very sweet and has likely put a smile on all of our faces, good on those boys for presenting themselves at this event as a proud and visibly loving couple, long may they be happy and well
·
…hats off and other forms of clothing to these 2 cute young guns……it would be so good if I could watch them secretly having hard-core sex! All together now ‘perrrrvert’…..!!

Yearlings are actually sophomores at the Academy.
