PHOTO: If they ever made a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, we’re certain it would include a photo shoot like this—leggy models giving runway realness alongside firefighters and other first responders confronting the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
Vogue is like Martha Stewart: We love ’em, but they don’t do “human” very well.

Of all the ways to recognize those who worked to aid victims of Hurricane Sandy, this has got to be the lamest attempt possible. Vogue could do a lot better if it truly had any concern for either those who respond to such events or those who suffer from their effects. Cringe-worthy indeed!

Fashion people live on a different planet. Human rules do not apply to them.

@Tracy: I laughed very hard at your comment. And it’s true (also why i love the movie Zoolander).
And the flaw in helping victims through insanely contrite photography and couture is laughable, but I do like that they are bringing awareness to the Vogue readers who were possibly stuck at a club uptown while Hurricane Sandy hit.
In other words, it’s awful, but i think it helps more then other things like, let’s say… prayer.
