We’ve gotta say, we prefer the hot Castro cop, aka Chris Kohrs, in his uniform. Something about taking away his shielding hat, tight police-issued shirt and overall air of authority leaves him a little too, well, normal.
It was the fantasy of Chris that made the gay internet go berzerk over images of him patrolling the San Francisco gayborhood. So much so that now Chris isn’t allowed to work the Castro, because it “gets kind of crazy sometimes when [he] goes down there.”
Now Chris is using his moderate recognition to help out a local SF clothing company Blade + Blue by modeling their looks.
Guess it’s working, since we just told you about local SF clothing company Blade + Blue. A portion of the proceeds from their collaboration will benefit the Officer Down Memorial Fund.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Still, we’re scratching our heads a bit at these shots:
Here’s a 6-minute behind-the-scenes video of the shoot that feels like an hour:
h/t: Accidental Bear
Cam
Handsome guy, and the clothes are fine. My ONLY problem is that the clothes seem a bit juvenile for him.
More like something one of the kids from Glee would wear rather than a functioning adult cop.
VampDC
I applaud him for being a gay model who keeps his clothes on
Tackle
Handsomeness/ beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. Great cause, but those shirts are an eyesore…
TampaBayTed
He looked much better in his cop’s uniform.
Meowzer
The clothing looks childish and some of the poses are just ridiculous. And yet, he still looks hot.

It’s like he did a Renée Zellweger. You just can’t put your finger on what.
Alan down in Florida
I don’t worry so much about the stylishness of the clothing he’s wearing since if I ever got him to my place I’d be doing my best to get him out of them as quickly as possible.
SteveDenver
@Cam: GLEE is the perfect description for this wardrobe.
Nick212
A six minute video that feels like an hour hahahahaha! It does. I can see why he’s a local celebrity but he doesn’t translate at all.

@VampDC: I am pretty sure he is straight
jimontp
@VampDC: He is not a gay model, he’s a straight cop. I am old enough to remember when straight cops ran riot in the Castro ( after the White verdict) hiding their badges, clubbing everyone is sight and trashing the then Elephant Walk bar), and the idea of having a friendly, straight cop walking the beat in the Castro , interacting with all the residents and tourists, is SO MUCH BETTER. Why can’t he keep walking his beat? Before the Castro was gay, it was largely an Irish Catholic neighborhood, and I doubt anyone complained about the Irish cops being too friendly, too comfortable with the residents. Who told him he couldn’t patrol in the Castro?

do Americans really wear clothes like that…think you need the fashion police
pickles
Cute guy. Clothes are ok, if lacking in passion of design but come on.. it’s the LIGHTING that’s so bad. Were these shot with a flip phone? Anyone worth a shred of creedo in photography will concur, that’s rough. He’s shiny, he’s front lit.. just yuck. When you make a stud like him look like someone in a passport shot, you’ve got to try again.

@Arconcyyon: You are my new favorite poster on Queerty.
Harley
@Arconcyyon: huh? What kind of word salad is that. Doesn’t make any sense at all.
1EqualityUSA
pickles, you caught that too. Lighting is bad!
NoCagada
His face reminds me of the dancing, singing California Raisins.

@pickles, @1EqualityUSA, agreed, the photography is TERRIBLE. I’d arrest the photographer if I were him.
sfbeast
It isn’t just the clothes or the lighting or the styling. He really isn’t that great out of uniform. Even when they made a big deal of him taking his shirt off earlier this year, he was kind of disappointing. He needs to get the uniform back on, especially the hat.
My two cents
Has the interviewer ever even been in front of a camera before?
It’s a large part of the reason the clip seems to go on for an hour.
I think I understand where the “accident” in “accidental bear” comes from.
thickie
His pics don’t work for me. I would do the two bears in the video in a heartbeat.

TO ANSWER THE QUESTION, WHY CAN’T SAN FRANCISCO COP CHRISTOPHER KOHRS PATROL THE CASTRO BEAT; THE IDIOTS IN CITY HALL LED BY THE HEAD MORON MAYOR ED LEE PROBABLY HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS. SORRY TO HEAR HE IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE SAN FRANCISCO POLICE DEPT. IT’ WAS NICE TO SEE A FOOT COP IN THE CASTRO ON A DAILY BASIS, STOPPING TO TALK TO THE RESIDENTS AND THE MERCHANTS. IT GAVE A SENSE OF SAFETY
