PHOTOS: Behind the Scenes with the Montreal’s Showgirls, GoGo Dancers, and DJs

IMG_7217

We went behind the scenes at last week’s Divers/Cité festival in Montreal and spent some time with the dancers, showgirls, musicians, and DJs while the crowd was living it up in front of the Loto-Québec stage. Backstage we were able to get up close and personal with DJs Chus & Ceballos, Prok & Fitch, and Celeda’s sexy backup dancers. On Saturday night Billy L’Amour invited us backstage to meet Roscoe Stone, Daniel Sullivan, Trixie Little, and her lineup of acrobats, musicians, dancers, and drag queens performing at a true interactive performance party, Viva Montréal/Viva L’Amour. We found a crowd of fun loving, supportive crowd of artists getting ready and cheering on each other backstage and from the sidelines. Highlights of the evening included Billy’s sexy dancers dominating the stage in a sexually charged wall of bodies while she did a spot on Diana Ross reminiscent of the legendary Central Park performance…only with an endless sea of hot dancers in the background. Billy L’Amour and her team left the audience begging for more.

This seems fun for a weekend, but way too superficial for a lifestyle which it seems to be for some of these individuals. Not to mention, it just feels like individuality and uniqueness are no longer, as everyone just looks the same.
