Towards the end of Diane Sawyer’s highly-discussed interview with Bruce Jenner, Jenner says that a short-term goal is just to be comfortable enough to “have my nail polish on long enough that it actually chips off.”
Now an internet campaign is going viral to encourage Bruce to let his nails sing with all the colors of the wind.

#PaintYourNailsForBruce lets Bruce know that it’s OK to “do you.”
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Though judging by some of the questionable polish applications below, Bruce might want to let a professional handle the brush.
The campaign oddly began prior to Bruce’s nail comments, when Australian radio show, The Kyle and Jackie O Show, made a call to action:
And the movement was born:

I don’t support conservative republicans.
Curty
I will never paint my nails. Because well not my thing and not for a someone who so offensively denied being gay and supports a political party that doesn’t want gays or trans people to have any rights.
FrankSF
This is pretty damned awesome. Not necessarily because of Bruce Jenner, but because all these people are supporting a transgender human being!
Xzamilio
Bruce Jenner’s conservatism aside, he’s done something great for the transgender community. One of the first and most public figures to come out as a transgender woman. This is great. But, now putting his conservatism in perspective, here’s hoping he can open some minds on his side, seeing how conservatives are notoriously closed-minded and anti-LGBT on the whole.
Spike
In solidarity to what?!!? A narcissist reality show wh.ore conservative republican that lived a lie for 60+ years? Yea, no, what a bunch the LGBT community is if they get behind this fool.
Clark35
Stupid and pointless. I don’t like any of the Kartrashians or their lame reality TV show.
Luis Collazo
I’m not painting my nails for a stupid republican!

I support everyone’s right to live their lives as they see fit, free of discrimination, injustice and abuse. Wearing nail polish, make-up, skirts and high heels do not make someone a woman. I know many biological women, gay and straight, who don’t wear any of those things and have no trouble identifying as women.
Craig Houghton
So in a pitch to be left alone to live his life as he chooses, Bruce Jenner does a prime time interview with Diane Sawyer to be followed up by an 8 Part Documentary of his transition.
Not since Keeping Up With The Kardashians aired or Here Comes Honey Boo Boo have I seen such a strong effort to shun the spot light in an effort to live his life out of the bright glare of the media.
I’m predicting there’ll be a book and a line of media shunning clothing as well.

Good grief. Could things get any more ridiculous? Isn’t there a more worthwhile cause to get behind? Come to your senses, LGB community!
