PHOTOS: Come For The Artistry, Stay For Phillip, The Hunky Model

Modus-Vivendi-Mondrian-Line-12

Each style in the Modus Vivendi Mondrian Line collection is inspired by abstract paintings of Dutch artist Piet Mondrian.

He used bold color blocking in geometric shapes, mostly rectangles, to create a bold visual impact and a confident, vibrant style. Mondrian stuck to a color palette of primary shades of reds, yellows and blues mixed with absolute black and white. His style was very unique and interesting to view.

The bold use of color causes the viewer to linger over each photo, basking in it’s own unique composition. Each image has a unique background. The colorful rectangles and squares are moved around in each image, giving the viewer a new unique perspective with each new image. The colorful shapes are layered to give each image more texture and depth. The layering technique gives the appearance that the solid black background seems so much further from the camera than the shapes do.
