PHOTOS: On Saturday, the Human Rights Campaign held its annual New York gala at the legendary Waldorf-Astoria, where guests of honor included former NYS Senator Tom Duane, honored for his lifetime of commitment to the LGBT community, and Whoopi Goldberg, who received the 2013 HRC Ally for Equality Award.

Also seen: Victor Garber, Smash‘s Anjelica Huston and Thorsten Kaye, Tim Gunn, Cheyenne Jackson, former First Daughter Barbara Bush, ABC’s John Quinones, HRC President Chad Griffin, Sen. Charles Schumer, NYC City Council President Christine Quinn, Newark Mayor Cory Booker (above), who delivered the keynote address, and Billy Porter, who delighted the crowd with a sneak peek of material from the upcoming musical Kinky Boots.
